Welcome the Richness in your Emotions

Last week I had the pleasure and honor of leading students through the first Channeling Emotions Intensive Practice Course: Six hours of diving deep into the unconscious contracts holding students to actions that no longer serve; redefining their boundaries; Burning Contracts; and of course, practice channeling emotions.

Students worked with scenarios as simple as how to deal with someone standing too close in line, and uncovered hidden contracts around politeness, self-preservation, and the importance of personal boundaries.

Channeling emotions requires that you're aware of your emotions, clear about your boundaries and what's important to you, and that you also have empathy for the other person (if the scenario involves someone else).

Many of us have never had a good role model of what it looks like to work mindfully with emotions, and we've often been taught to repress or ignore what we're feeling because it's "inconvenient," or "too messy."

Channeling your emotions is validation of your emotions - all of them - and requires that you be willing to look at the things about yourself that you may be blind to, that you may feel afraid of, or that you may have buried deeply. Often these parts hold great energy for you, and they're waiting for your acknowledgement and acceptance.

“The course…helped me break down my choices of emotions in difficult situations-so that I could get through them more successfully than before! & Taking her course helped me that I could LEARN from mistakes rather than being crushed by them!" ~ JWI

I invite you to work with me and discover the magnificence of your emotions in the next Channeling Emotions Intensive, starting May 31st.

If you'd like to stay connected to working with your emotions with less commitment, Befriending Anger, a 4-week course, starts May 3rd and includes a 1-hour experiential live webinar each week in addition to the forum and course units.

If you'd like to stay connected with your emotions in a more self-directed way, you can use the Language of Emotions Reading Guide to work through the book, The Language of Emotions.
